Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at contact.shredsafe@yahoo.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the address given by email after receiving your request.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Warranty and Customer Responsibility
Limited Warranty Terms
- This product is covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and manufacturing for 6 months from purchase, valid for the original owner with proof of purchase.
- Warranty covers confirmed defects only; replacement of defective items is at discretion of Carbon Forge or MarkYourMining.
- Warranty excludes misuse, neglect, or failure to comply with provided guidelines.
Shipping and Inspection
- Inspect on receipt and report shipping damage or defects within 48 hours to maintain warranty.
- Late claims related to shipping damages will be void.
Warranty Exclusions
- Damage from accidents, crashes, extreme or abusive use.
- Unauthorized modifications, repairs, filing, drilling, gluing, or reshaping. Adhesive repairs void warranty.
- Normal wear and environmental degradation (UV, chemicals, heat).
- Use outside intended purpose or incompatible applications.
- Neglect, improper maintenance, or guideline noncompliance.
- Use in extreme racing or competitive events requiring specialized gear.
Product Purpose and Impact Protection
- Designed as a brake guard preventing direct contact of brake disc with water, mud, or snow. Features venting system for brake cooling.
- Excessive mud or snow buildup may cause temporary brake lock.
- Protects against tree branches, rocks, and impacts; but certain angles or sizes may cause direct brake lock, similar to disc brake natural clearances.
- Product provides balanced rigidity and flexibility for protection. Testing strength by throwing objects or deliberate abuse voids warranty.
Usage Guidelines
- Follow installation instructions; use only on compatible bikes.
- Inspect before each ride; discontinue use if damage or cracks are present.
- Do not exceed recommended torque.
- No physical or chemical modifications, filing, drilling, or adhesive repairs.
- Avoid solvents, chemicals, or excessive heat.
- Remove before washing with pressurized water.
- Store away from sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
- Check mount security, especially after impacts.
- Avoid extreme racing or downhill use unless supplied with competition-grade product.
Maintenance for PETG-CF FDM 3D Printed Products
- Avoid excessive mechanical stress or impact during use or installation.
- Minimize prolonged UV exposure to reduce material degradation.
- Clean gently with mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals/solvents.
- Dry thoroughly after moisture exposure to avoid weakening.
- Inspect regularly for cracks, brittleness, delamination.
- Store in cool, dry environment avoiding humidity and temperature extremes.
Customer Responsibilities
- Warranty valid only to original purchaser with proof of purchase from MarkYourMining.
- Follow Carbon Forge or MarkYourMining warranty claim process.
Limitation of Liability
- Maximum liability limited to replacement product.
- No liability for incidental or consequential damages.
Warning
- Designed exclusively for compatible MTB brake protection.
- Unauthorized use or modification voids warranty and liability.
- User responsible for proper installation, use, and maintenance.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Not withstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
